Have you ever thought that the grass is greener on the other side? You may quit admiring someone else’s grass after
watching ME AGAIN.
The film’s tagline, ‘Be careful what you pray for’, isn’t just a cliché statement for Rich Chaplin (David A.R. White), it’s a fact of
life. Chaplin, a pastor, is on the verge of a messy divorce and he’s clearly angry at God for his circumstances. Like many of
us, he’s always wondered how different his life would be if he had done some of the things he always wanted to do. This film
will help remove the misconceptions you may have that those in the ministry are supposed to be perfect and thus can’t be
“normal”.
One night while watching TV in his office at the church, his new home due to his separation from April (Ali Landry) his wife,
Rich sees a commercial by Big Earl (Bruce McGill) who asks “Did you ever wish you were someone else? Make a step to a
new you and call now.” Ignoring Big Earl’s urging, Rich calls his best friend Tony (Tommy Blaze) and asks him to bring a
movie over to the church. While he’s waiting for Tony to show up, Rich heads to the sanctuary and prays for a new life and
he gets exactly what he prayed for.
Rich winds up having several out of body experiences and finds himself trapped in the bodies of a number of other people,
even a goldfish, which was hilarious by the way. The only person who knows what Rich is going through is Tony, who helps
Rich by offering up some great advice for the disgruntled pastor.
The message in Me Again is awesome and truly puts things into perspective. Ultimately, we learn that happiness is a decision
left up to the individual and we are sometimes our own worst enemy. The movie shows us that the best way to fix a problem is
to simply asking God for help and trust that He will come through – have faith. The film often references Frank Capra’s
classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life”, and has some similarities. This is a great family movie that will implore you to examine your own
life and appreciate your family more.
Some of the creative minds behind Me Again are DAVID A.R. WHITE and JEFFREY PETERSON (Directors), TOMMY BLAZE
(Writer), JEFFREY PETERSON (Exec Producer), RUSSEL WOLFE, ANNA ZIELINSKI, LOGAN WHITE, and DAVID A.R. WHITE
(Producers), GABRIEL SABLOFF (Cinematographer) and music by WILL MUSSER.
