Description: We are currently looking for a winter 2011-2012 intern to join our team in the area of advertising sales. This position is
designed exclusively to give the intern valuable experience and interact with the entire I Am Entertainment team. Interns will see first-hand
how advertising and sponsorship opportunities are developed and secured. Must be a junior or senior in college, or a recent college
graduate, and be available to work at least 10 hours a week.
Primary responsibilities will include assisting I Am Entertainment staff with:
- maintaining/organizing advertiser database
- prospecting
- preparing daily cold call lists
- completing projects for the sales team
Ideal candidates should:
- be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- have strong organization skills
- have reliable cell phone service and wi-fi enabled laptop computer
- have reliable transportation

- fact checking articles through phone calls, email, and internet research
- researching and forming lists of potential interviewees for upcoming magazine issues
- researching and covering local events
- submitting reports for posting on our website
- organizing our publicity database
- writing press releases
- researching and building lists for marketing and publicity opportunities
- forming, organizing, and marketing events
Ideal candidates should:
- be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- have held at least one professional internship
- demonstrate strong writing skills
- have experience growing his/her own networks on various social media channels
- have capable of working independently to accomplish tasks
