Let me start off by saying that I am not the biggest punk rock fan, but I've become a
fan of Voice of Addiction. They captured me with their lyrics. So many minds, young
and old, are closed to social and political issued in this world. This band force feeds
these messages to their listeners. They have fast, hard-edged energy that gets you
pumped like Green Day, but with an infusion of ska-punk and garage. I love the tempo
changes of "The Walls". These little subtitles keep you interested.
Rage Rock generally incorporates a lot of angst filled screaming, but V.O.A. is
screaming with a purpose. They are using this genre of music as a platform to get talk
about issues that are typically ignored by most of us. Open your mind to a group who
brings more to the table than just great music and good vocals. Sometimes we have to
yell when no one will listen. They have a powerful message that needs to be heard. So
hear them out.
Voice of Addiction- Our Album, "Reduce Reuse Resist "this will be out in June, 13 song
full length on CD and on vinyl! We also we have a month long west coast tour in
support starting mid July.
