This dude goes hard! Ed E. Ruger is seriously one of the best independent hip-hop
artists in the game today. His wordplay puts him in an elite group of rappers and he
reminds me of two of hip-hop's best - Fat Joe and Tech N9ne - mixed together in one
artist.
One of my favorite songs is "In The Clouds" because he literally is "so high" above
other rappers in today's underground hip-hop scene that he can't be touched. His
lyrical delivery is like the boldest graffiti tattooed on the New York City subway systems.
The song's guest artist, Stitchy C, was pretty good as well. This song is all about
bragging rights and Ruger just earned his stripes.
Another very good song is "Thank The Streets, feat. Drawzilla and Seven". This record
offers a detailed description of what the average urban/inner-city youth experiences
growing up in the U.S. All three artists share their own unique, yet similar, struggles
they each faced living in their respective 'hoods'. If you've ever wondered what goes
on in the ghettos of America, this is the song you need to listen to.
"In My Own Zone" is an ode to Bone Thugs In Harmony's love interest, marijuana. The
song is very creative and entertaining because his wordplay is seriously on some
Redman stuff. Ruger is a real artist that is definitely in his own zone. And whoever is
doing Ed E. Ruger's beats is the Bruce Lee of hip-hop production.
Just do yourself a favor and go get Ed E. Ruger's music because this "Ziplocked &
Loaded" album is utterly genius.
MUSICAL GOAL: “My Ultimate goal is to be able to provide for my family while living
out my dream through my music. To be able to reach a mass audience who can relate
to my subject matter & really understand where im coming from ,as well as,provide a
platform for Iconoclast Crew & the scene around me as a whole to progress in the
future is what im striving for on a daily basis." – Ed E. Ruger
