Jackson Garrett (JG) is one of jazz music coolest crew of hip cats who have mastered
the art of creating true musical art. Based in southern California, Jackson Garrett's
latest album, 'Let Sleeping Dogs Lie' contains 14 jazzy tracks of mood music that is
sure to get your toes tapping and your fingers snapping.

One of my immediate favorites by JG is "High Time" because it's so jazzy and the horn
section is awesome. The vocalist is very laid back and really delivers the song well.
The band really sounds great, from the horns to the bass, the keys to the percussions,
this is easy listening at its best.

On "Let Sleeping Dogs Lie", Jackson Garrett lets the lady lead and boy does she
deliver! Her voice on top of this blues-rock tune that packs a ton of punch is exactly
what the doctor ordered. The song's title, for those who don't know, means to make
active that which doesn't need to be put into action. But the way the horn section
matched so well with the electric guitar solos, it sounds like Jackson Garrett was trying
to wake the sleeping dog for a good time.

There's something really cool about a group of seasoned musicians helping keep
music honest and real. Other notable songs include: "You Dirty Dog", "The South Side
of the City", and "Owed To The Dan".

festivals, concerts and radio play throughout the world, featuring soloists and singers
from various cities we visit. These days, with the Internet, it is very easy to rehearse
and practice music with other artists, even though they may be thousands of miles
