Jake Clayton is an awesome musician and his 12 track instrumental album, 'Barnyard
Stomp', is a Country music classic waiting to happen. After just one listen, you'll
understand why 25 year old Jake is the definition of the term "musical genius." I can't
even begin to imagine what it feels like to play 27 instruments, but I can hear, and this
guy is the real deal!
Out of the 12 songs on Jake's new EP, the one song that I enjoyed listening to the
most was ''Dia's Hoedown" because Jake plays the heck out of that fiddle! I also
enjoyed the upbeat dance rhythm to this piece of music. The drums will make you
wanna get on the floor and kick up some dust.
"Get'em Boys" is another high energy hoedown classic. This one reminds me of those
classic chase scenes from "The Dukes of Hazzard" (the TV show, not the recent
movie). Jake's finger picking and fiddling on this one is incredible fast, and I can't
understand how anyone plays an instrument this fast. Talk about talent!
Jake Clayton has produced a classic Country music instrumental album that deserves
the support of every fan of the genre. It's hard to not respect the talent of this young
man, and I think we'd be doing the world a disservice if we don't help keep real
musicians like Jake, working.
MUSICAL GOAL: "The ultimate goal for Jake Clayton's music is to reach an
International fanbase. The music is Instrumental so there is no language barriers.
Jake would like to tour the globe performing and also have his music in movies,
television, and video games." - Jake Clayton
