Secondhand Habit are a group of alternative rockers whose latest self-titled EP is not the
norm if you're one of those people looking for a stereotypical rock band. These guys are
very eclectic and sometimes border on just plain odd, but not in a bad way.

I must admit that I liked Secondhand Habit's song, "Badass" because of the in your face
lyrical content, not to mention the band's unconventional approach to alternative rock
music. This song is the movie "Superbad" revived in music form. Some of it reminds me
of how I felt when I was in high school. This song is both - funny and real at the same
time. If you're an ultra conservative, this song will offend you. LOL!

Another awesomely hilarious but honest song is "X-Marks The Spot." I mean, any song
where the lead singer screams on the hook "thank God we have pot," gets my vote. This
was definitely not what I expected and I really enjoyed it. Don't listen with the expectation
of hearing the best vocal performance of the day; rather, expect to hear brash lyrics and
unusual music production.

Overall, Secondhand Habit are an unconventional band with an unconventional
approach to making music. The songs on their album are reckless and full of teenage
anger management anthems. If you're looking for a clean and wholesome band, go look
someplace else. But if you're looking for songs to smoke weed to and get in trouble, this
album is exactly what you want.

MUSICAL GOAL: "To make music that we love, and hopefully have other people love it
too because music is a very important part of life.” -
Secondhand Habit
