Geoff Abraham and The Stone City rawks hard! His music exudes the confidence of
someone who has the gonads to take off the heads of a 3 domed dragon. The gutsy
fusion of rock and blues on Geoff and the band's latest project, World Gone Crazy, is
proof that not all rock music is created equal.
The best song on this project in my opinion is "Let It All Ride". The reason I say this is
because it's a perfect fusion of rock and roll, and blues music; almost like taking Lenny
Kravitz and putting him on stage with the late great Stevie Ray Vaughn. While I'm not
implying that Geoff and the guys are the equivalent of those two Hall of Famers, I am
saying that these guys rock with the best of them.
There are 9 songs in total on this project, and each one has its own unique identity. The
album is very consistent and the musicianship, songwriting and singing just flat out work.
Other top songs on the project include: World Gone Crazy, The Carrot & The Stick, and
Where's Your Soul.
Overall, Geoff Abraham & The Stone City have put together an amazing project that, if it
catches on among rock/blues fans, it's going to really take this band to the top of the
charts. I'd recommend those of you out there reading this to check these guys out if
you're looking for a great rock band who has something new to offer.
MUSICAL GOAL: "To make enough money from my music so I could put all of my time
and energy into performing and making records." - Geoff Abraham & The Stone City
