Obi Kaye is one of the most ecclectic musicans I've heard in recent months. His
compositions bring to mind those African tribal dances we imagine taking place around a
huge fire in a remote jungle. Obi's latest project, When The Dreamer Awakens, is a real
treat to the ears.

"Tender Taboos" is my favorite track on When The Dreamer Awakens because it has a
very relaxing but upbeat sound to it. The percussions are perfectly seated in the mix and
the various non-traditional instruments that are incorporated into the production make
this song a great representation of the World music genre. While this music may not lend
itself to much support on a commercial music scene, it definitely has a place to live in the
hearts of those who enjoy music that stirs the soul.

Other awesome tracks by Obi Kaye include: Interpretations of a Dream, Change For A
Paradigm, and If Only. Each track gives its own unique heartbeat, and all are worth
checking out.

MUSICAL GOAL: "I am more of an explorer. I would like to keep exploring and creating
with sound and vibration. As much as I would love to reach new fans, I would much more
like to continue to express and to try and reach people on an emotional level with my
grooves. I would like to know that who ever my music reaches, felt something stirring
inside. Be it physical, emotional spiritual, or even sensual, my hope is that these sounds
