Oogee Wawa is not just a great hip-hop band, they are a lot of fun. Kinda like a mix
between the Beastie Boys and the Roots with a surfer-reggae twist, Oogee Wawa are a
true hip-hop surfer band whose latest EP, Beachside Hangover, is nothing short of a
party on wax.
"Keep The Party (KTP)" is my favorite track on the band's EP because it's a clear image
of what Oogee's music is all about. From the live music to the hip-hop edge emcee, this
song will help keep the party going. KTP has this Sugar Ray meets Red Hot Chilli
Peppers kinda vibe to it that I really dig. We have enough love and drama songs floating
around the web, television and radio, so it's nice to hear something you can party to.
Other great songs on Oogee Wawa's latest EP include: Ride Waves, Beachside
Hangover, and Pass Me A Drink. Each of these songs offers a unique feel that helps
keep this project in the upper echelon of indie Alternative music.
Overall, Oogee Wawa is an awesome alternative hip-hop band whose music should be
supported and definitely receives my recommendation.
MUSICAL GOAL: "Our ultimate goal is to "Bring the band back" we feel like the industry
has been over run by the "solo' artist, which is cool but, what happen to the band?
Oogee Wawa is dedicated to making feel good music that promotes the desire to party,
everyone loves to party, and nobody wants to party alone. We take the comradery we
have and portray it through every song we put out. "Making it" is everything but how
sweet would it be to "make it" with your closest friends." - Oogee Wawa
