David Higbee is a very good songwriter/musician with a great compilation of songs on his
latest project, Glass Canvas. There aren't a lot of independent artists who put together
projects with as much consistency as David has done here.
"Between The Lines" and "Karma Comes" are perfect examples of why I feel so strongly
about David's music. Each of these songs sound like something you'd hear in a romantic
comedy film scene where there's a break up scene or someone making an attempt to
patch up a bad fight that took place. The singing, songwriting and music are all top of the
heap among other alternative rock artists in David's lane. I respect and enjoy listening to
his music and would definitely recommend these two songs to any film music supervisor.
Other really good tunes by David Higbee include: Joe, Ashes, Done and Moons of Mars.
Each of these tracks add depth to the overall project and give it the kind of consistency
needed in order for an album/EP to flow smoothly between songs.
Overall, as an artist, David Higbee could be the next great alternative rock artist to hit the
scene. Don't expect him to be a Jason Mraz type of artist because that's not what this is.
David's sound is less Top 40 alternative pop-rock and would fit best at light rock radio
stations. You should check this guy out, I'm sure you'll like his sound if you like this
genre.
MUSICAL GOAL: "My goal is to find an independent following, and connect with the
world through music." - David Higbee
