Duane Scott has screamed "Clear!" and shocked the life back into a genre thought to be
dead by most in America. Reminiscent of the greats of Hip-Hop/R&B-Soul, people like
Joe, R. Kelly, Tyrese and Jon B, Duane Scott has kissed the ears of every fan of the
genre and shared one of the most impressive collections of R&B music I've heard since
Ne-Yo first hit the scene. No, Chris Brown is not old enough to fit here and Trey Songz
ego couldn't even squeeze 2/3rds of itself into the picture.

I was all in from the first track and couldn’t wait to hear more from this dude. His vocals
are very strong and soulful with and the songwriting and production is highly dynamic. I
love how Duane's music incorporates real guitars with heavily layered keyboards and
hard-hitting beats and basslines, something that is sorely lacking in much of today's R&B
music. I believe it is the fact that these elements are missing from the music today that is
the reason the R&B genre has suffered such major casualties.

Songs like RAP MUZIC, HELLO, LOVE IS WAR and GOING 2 D.A. make it easy to
understand why this album excites me! I enjoyed the consistency of the project the most
because I didn't feel the need to skip around to find something worth listening to.
Duane's vocals are very impressive and even if you're not a fan of this type of music, you
will still enjoy the fact that he is a good singer (AutoTune was used but clearly not
needed).

This is true grown-folks music and isn't for those who didn't grow up listening to greats
like those mentioned above. Duane Scott's music is ideal for those seeking out songs
that could be classified as "baby making music." A lot can be said for a guy who isn't
afraid to get on a record and share his emotional side, like we saw from Jodeci on "Cry
For You". Sometimes he's laid back and other times bold and in your face. This is exactly
what music should be, a rollercoaster ride of emotions backed by incredible production
and songwriting. Go check Duane Scott out, and buy the album if you like the music.
