This is The Real Matt Jones and his new album release, HISTORY, is utterly amazing.
Truth is, this dude has one of the best voices I've heard from a soulful white guy in the
past few years. I'd put Matt in the same league as Justin Timberlake and Jon Mayer
vocally, while the music on HISTORY is unique to Matt Jones himself.

My favorite song on History is "Some Days". This song hits on the very reason we all
make and listen to music...to cope with everyday life's ups and downs. On this song (see
video), Matt sings about his frustrations with some of the unnecessary crap we go
through sometimes in our daily walks and relationships with others. And it's so true that in
many instances you just need a "drank"; or in my case, a nap. This song is highly
relatable and I doubt that anyone who hears it won't feel what Matt's saying.

There are quite a few other great tracks on the project, but the ones that stood out to me
were the title track, History, as well as, Nine To Fiver, You Don't Lie When You're Lonely,
and Empty House. Each of these songs brings a unique value to the project that totally
makes buying this album well worth the $6 it costs on Amazon.com.

I'd recommend HISTORY to anyone who loves great music, soulful vocal talent and great
songwriting that is relatable and hits close to home.
