Tom Dyer is a Rock n' Roll / Blues man who daylights as a college and heads up Green
Monkey Records by night in the greater Seattle, Washington area. A great songwriter
with a cool raspy voice, Tom has taken his love for the recording arts and released the
13 song album,
I AIN'T BLUE ANY MORE. This album is one of more than 60 album
releases Dyer's Green Monkey Records has released since 1981.

I Ain't Blue Any More, should be respected as one of the best NON-cliche albums
released in 2012.  Don't expect to hear the "oh, baby I love you", or the typical blues
songs about "my baby done left me".  What you will hear on Tom Dyer's new album is an
emotionally driven vocal performance and true storytelling, something you will not get
from 95% of the artists releasing commercially sold music today.

As a songwriter, I like the fact that Tom focuses his attention on telling stories about real
life. One song that I enjoyed listening to was, "People Want To Be Free". This one delves
into stories about the prices people were willing to pay to be free, and as a history buff, I
enjoyed the storytelling. Other songs I thought were lyrically engaging include: The
Ballad of Carlton IV, John The Revelator, and Rollin On The Clay.

As a musician, I did find it hard to listen to the music production, at times. It's not that
Tom's not a good musician, it's just that some of the instruments were out of place in the
mixes and the accompaniment was sometimes off time and key. But that wouldn't stop me
from recommending that you check out
I Ain't Blue Any More if you're a blues/rock lover.
