DEADLINES AND POSSIBLE EXTENSIONS

An Important Note About Deadlines and Extensions

&
IAE Magazine reserves the right, to extend the deadline for entry in the 2010 "The Write Way" Short
Screenplay Contest beyond the date listed above.

However...
This is not a promise of an extension.  It is "If."  You run the risk of missing a chance to enter if you do
not enter by the September 13th deadline.

In addition, any such accommodation for late entries will come at a price: an entry fee at least $10
higher than the "After July 17, 2010" fee listed in the 'Contest Rules.'

Late entry carries the penalty of a higher cost for a number of reasons.  Late entries put stress on our
contest management and make it necessary to seek additional judges to read late scripts.  In addition,
the higher entry fee is intended to be a teaching tool.

Screenwriting doesn't always have deadlines, but some screenwriting (such as writing for TV or
rewriting a feature) usually does have strict deadlines.  Therefore, being on time is a professional
discipline you need to develop if you are going to break into the major film and TV business.

So please -- submit on time. Getting use to time management and working within the confines of
deadlines will pay off big time in the grand scheme of your career ambitions. Further, you will be
rewarded by much better prices and greater certainty with this contest. To view the deadlines and
prices,
